CLARENTIS Ultra-Lyte® added to N List

Ultra-Lyte® was added by the  US EPA to the N list, so it can be used against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), after Ultra-Lyte® had demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to Norovirus (Feline Calicivirus as a surrogate) on hard, non-porous surfaces.

Ultra-Lyte was also approved by Health Canada for use against Sars-CoV-2, and Norovirus, after it had demonstrated effectiveness against both the Human Coronavirus (with Human Corona Virus Strain 229E as a surrogate) and Norovirus ( with Feline Calicivirus as a surrogate).

Minimizing Microbial Contamination Risk simultaneously from multiple hospital washbasins by automated cleaning of U-bends with electrochemically activated solutions

Anolyte and catholyte solutions were produced by electrochemical activation of an NaCl solution using a Clarentis UL-75a ECA generator. The generator was configured to produce anolyte measured at 800 parts per million (ppm) free available chlorine (FAC)  at pH 7, having an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) of +880 mV  and consisting of approximately 632 ppm of hypochlorous acid (79%) and 162 ppm of  OCl¯ (20.2%). Catholyte is an amphoteric surfactant with a surface tension of 63nM force and was produced  at pH 12.5 and ORP of approximately -1000 mV ORP, consisting of approximately 400 ppm of NaOH. Freshly generated anolyte was used undiluted. Freshly generated catholyte was diluted 1:5 with mains water with a temperature after dilution of approximately 33° C.

Conclusion: Simultaneous automated treatment of hospital washbasin U-bends with ECA consistently minimizes bacterial contamination infection and thus the associated risk of infection.

September 23, 2016. CLARENTIS received notice from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore that its patent application No. 201201040-1, Van Kalken/Waldner, was issued on September 2, 2016, as “System and Method for preparation of antimicrobial Solution”.

With equipment installed in Africa and Europe, CLARENTIS is expanding its foreign operations to the Middle East, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
